Details:
Our play groups aim to meet the social and exercise needs of our canine friends. For their 60-minute, professionally supervised, small group visit, they have access to five and a half acres of fully fenced space to play, explore, run, dig, and follow their nose with their companions. The property features a large play yard and five acres of woodlands for the dogs to romp around. Groups are kept small to allow for safe play and greater self expression. Long lines and Garmin GPS trackers are available upon request. Pups return home happy, fulfilled, and content - a.k.a. ready to sleep away the workday!
How It Works:
Prospective group members’ first visit(s) are considered an evaluation to ensure a positive fit for everyone. Once complete, guardians may sign them up for their preferred date(s).

Adventure Play Groups are available Tuesday - Friday mornings. Visits outside of these days may be available upon request.
Dogs are picked up between approximately 9:00AM and 10:00AM. Each visit is one hour (not including travel). Afterwards, they are dropped off at home to sleep until your return!

Canine Recreation Company was born from my personal pets’ needs for exercise and enrichment beyond a traditional neighborhood walk, combined with their behavioral needs that made them ineligible for off leash hike services or typical daycare settings. Quite the challenge!
I found the solution in small groups of canine friends and the freedom to “dog” over five and a half acres - from racing around the yard together to showing each other their favorite paths through the woods - all fully fenced by deer fencing (6+ feet tall). I’m thrilled to be able to provide the same opportunity to other dogs with unique needs - all with the help of my personal crew!
My experience with dogs and group dynamics goes back over 20 years. Their safety, behavioral needs, and happiness are paramount to me and I enjoy being able to apply my varied experience to making that happen for each dog as an individual. I have worked in shelters and rescues, dog daycares, and currently as a canine enrichment coach and trainer when not overseeing adventure play groups.
At the end of the day, I see my role and that of Canine Recreation Company as both a resource for dogs to get the exercise they need in a manner convenient for their guardians and to provide a joyful, confidence-building experience that fulfills their natural and social needs as dogs.
